Indigo Junior Technician Key Responsibilities:
As a Junior Technician at IndiGo, you will be tasked with various responsibilities to ensure seamless aircraft maintenance and operational efficiency. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Aircraft Handling and Maintenance:
Performing assigned tasks under the guidance of the shift in-charge or manager, including:
- Marshalling aircraft.
- Parking and securing aircraft.
- Conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Completing all necessary documentation related to maintenance tasks.
Engineering Support Equipment Maintenance:
Maintaining various tools and equipment, such as:
- Rigs and test equipment.
- Jacks and specialized tools.
Taking responsibility for your assigned toolkit and any issued tools.
Stores and Inventory Management:
- Following company procedures to request and collect items and spare parts from the stores.
- Ensuring proper documentation and returning removed components to the stores after job completion, as per company protocols and job-specific precautions as outlined in the Aircraft Maintenance Manual or as directed by the relevant Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME).
- Ensuring compliance with safety responsibilities and accountabilities as stated in IndiGo’s Safety Management System (SMS) Manual, particularly in the chapter on Safety Policy and Objectives.
Mentorship and Team Support:
- Acting as a mentor to guide and support subordinates whenever required.
Workplace Discipline:
- Wearing the prescribed uniform and protective clothing provided by the organization while on duty.
- Demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Shift and Travel Flexibility:
- Willingness to work in shifts to meet operational demands.
- Availability to undertake flying duties or temporary assignments at outstation locations, as required.
